Discover one of Paris' oldest, most fascinating and vibrant markets: The Marché d'Aligre.
This food tour is more than just a meal: it's a cultural immersion experience. As you savor each bite, you'll gain a deeper understanding of the traditions, customs, and history that have shaped Paris's culinary landscape. Engage with locals, hear their stories, and of course EAT! the delicious treats that make this city so extraordinary to visit.
You'll have choices on at least 10 tastings on our visit: sweet or savory, I'll be sure to delight your tastebuds! you'll get a cup of the most delicious and fresh coffee in the East of the city! Follow me as we discover all kinds of flavors in the food stalls and as well as at iconic local food shops nearby, owned by the friendliest people in Paris.
Kids of all ages are welcome! They love all our tastings. Our group will be of 6 people (7 at a maximum if I have to accommodate a solo traveler ;), if you have a bigger group or want a private session please send me a message here :D

-Please note that we will need at least 2 people signing up so the experience can be assured.
-Not suitable to vegetarian/vegan/gluten-dairy-free diet restrictions (during the tour we enjoy a big plate of charcuterie (mostly pork) and cheese, along with bread).

FAQ
The day I want to book doesn’t seem to be available. I see a call or email to book message. What does that mean?
It could be that the tour is sold out or that I don’t have a tour open for bookings. In both cases, you can send me an email and I can see if I can open another departure for your booking.
Are walking tours held in bad weather?
All of our tours go ahead – rain, hail or shine! In the case of rain, we are able to go inside some of the tasting locations but an umbrella will help a lot, as we are mostly out and about during our walking around the market. I kindly ask you to look at the weather forecast and dress appropriately.
What is included in the price?
All food and drinks are included in the price. The only thing not included is gratuities and they are always greatly appreciated.
Can I book a private tour or class for my group?
Yes. I offer private group tours for groups of up to 6-10 people, and custom tours for groups of any size. All private tours are priced on application so please contact me for more information.

How do I cancel or reschedule my tour?
You can cancel or reschedule your tour by emailing me at hello@frenchxican.com. In some cases I’ll need to charge a rescheduling fee.
